Here is a silver plated julep strainer with no makers mark or other identifying marks.
There is an acorn cut out on the handle as well as a ribbed design. It measures approximately 6 and 3/8 inches long and the bowl is about 3 inches wide.
Most other similar strainers with this acorn cutout have handles that are attached by rivet. This strainer does not have an attached handle, it is one solid piece of metal. It also has the bend in the handle where the handle reaches the bowl common to the scallop shell shape julep strainers but not often found in acorn strainers. The hole configuration is different than any other acorn strainers that I have seen and the size of the holes appear to be two different sizes.
It’s a nice heavy well made strainer.
