Here are four silver plated nut picks that are unmarked. This pattern has been found with 1847 Rogers, Rogers & Bro. and Wm. Rogers & Son and other marks. Who actually manufactured these picks, I do not know. They are in the 1876 “Crown” pattern designed by Henry W. Hirschfeld, Patent # 9591, assigned to Meriden Britannia. If you search this pattern on line, you will commonly find an 1879 date attributed to it. Why I do not know.
Nut picks can be used for a variety of purposes….canapes, seafood, and olive picks for martinis!
