Here is a grouping of three silver plated bar tools as follows:
A silver plated julep strainer faintly marked “H & T Mfg. Co. A1”. This mark is the Holmes & Tuttle Manufacturing Co. mark. This company was founded by Israel Holmes of Boston in 1851. They were taken over by Bristol Brass & Clock Co. in 1857 and became part of American Silver Co. in 1901 and then International Silver in 1935.
There is an acorn cut out on the handle as well as a ribbed design. It measures approximately 6 and 3/8 inches long and the bowl is about 3 inches wide.
The rivets are unusual with a floral design. It is heavy and strong and has a lot of life left in it.
Two bar Spoons are included as follows:
The longest is slightly over 9 inches long. It is unmarked.
The second is marked “Pix Excel” which is a trademark of the Albert Pick Co. This spoon measures 6 and 7/8 inches long.
