N. F. Silver Clover Julep Strainer

Here is an antique silver plated julep strainer marked “N. F. Silver Co. 1877”. N. F. stands for Niagara Falls. It measures 5 and 3/4ths inches long and 2 and 5/8ths inches wide.

It has a swirl design in the bowl and a clover cut out on the handle.

The clover cut-out or “Clover” pattern julep strainer is known to have existed as early as 1886 as it was featured in the 1886-87 Meriden Britannia catalog.
