Here is grouping of three antique silver plated bar tools manufactured by Benedict Manufacturing CO. of Syracuse, New York.
The first is a julep strainer that is marked “INDESTRUCTO” which was a trademark of Benedict Mfg. Co.
This strainer measures 6 and 3/8 inches long and about 3 inches wide.
Pease see my blog post “The Victorian Bar” to read more about cocktail strainers in general:
This is a well made, heavy and attractive strainer. It has a lot of life left in it, after all it is an INDESTRUCTO!
Second is a toddy strainer with a clover cut out on the handle. It measures about 4 and 1/8 inches long and the bowl is 1 and 7/8 inches wide. This strainer would make a really nice pendant or even hung on a belt with other bar tools as a chatelaine.
And lastly, a Benedict twist handle bar spoon. The spoon is in the Shell pattern and is 7 inches long.
Calling all bartenders in the Syracuse area!
