Here is a silver plated perforated ice scoop marked “Gorham Co. 010 Silver S” with the Gorham trademark and rooster mark dating it to 1890. The “S” after “Silver” signifies “Soldered”. I believe the black wooden handle is ebony.
It measures about 7 and 5/8 inches in length total with the scoop portion alone measuring 3 and 1/4 inches by 2 and 1/8 inches.
Both sides of the scoop have cut-outs to the edges and I believe the intent was to allow the scoop to hang off the side of a bucket (see second photo). I have never seen a similar ice scoop ( if that is really what it is) as the size, shape and drainage hole perforations are rather unique.
