Here is a silverplate julep strainer marked “N. F. Nickel Silver Co.”. It is in the “Spray” pattern which features a textured backround with a spray of flowers offset to the left side. This textured background is unusual and this design apparently is not very common.
N. F. Nickel Silver Co. is one of the Oneida Ltd. companies. The name was trademarked in 1886. I have also seen a variation of this design manufactured by Ontario Silver Co (sometimes patterns are varied according to flatware usage).
This strainer measures 5 and 5/8ths inches long and the bowl measures 2 and 13/16ths inches wide.
