C. J. Hauck & Son

Here is an antique julep strainer that is marked “C. J. Hauck & Son, Brooklyn, N.Y.” It measures approximately 5 and 11/16ths inches in length and the bowl measures approximately 2 and 5/8ths inches wide.

C. J. Hauck was a manufacturer of fancy metal goods at his Brooklyn, N.Y. location in the 1860s.

This Hauck backstamp is relatively rare and a good one for that serious antique bar tool collector!

This strainer has found a good home with a professional bartender!
